High Pressure Common Rail Stainless Steel Race Valve

Huckstorf Diesel part number MISRVSS is a high pressure plug that replaces the pressure relief valve on the fuel rail of 2004.5-2010 GM Duramax and 2007.5-2018 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins diesel engines.

This is a stainless steel plug to replace the factory pressure relief valve on the 2004.5 to 2012 LLY, LBZ, & LMM Duramax engines.  This is for race applications only.  There is no safety factor in the event of a spike in fuel pressure happening in the common rail.

The Bosch pressure relief valves on the 2004.5-2005 GM Duramax LLY diesel engines had an issue of opening too soon and sending the fuel in the rail back to the fuel tank.  The 2006-2010 LBZ, LMM engines came with a valve that opens at a higher pressure.  This reduced the number of problems, but the 100% fix is to use one of these race plugs.  Dodge used the same type of relief valve on the 2007-2018 6.7L Cummins engines.   When the relief valve opens up too soon, the rail pressure senses the drop in pressure and typically sets diagnostic trouble codes P1093, P0087, or P1011 low fuel pressure during enrichment.  We recommend this for performance applications only.  This has been used successfully on heavy towing applications and performance street trucks.
