Alliant Power part number AP63404 Exhaust Back Pressure (EBP) tube for 1998-2003 Ford 7.3L diesel engines.

This diesel exhaust back pressure sensor sends information back to the engine control module which is used in controlling the variable vain turbocharger.  These sensors along with the tube that they are connected to are known to get clogged with exhaust soot.  Improper readings lead to boost control problems and over or under boost codes.  Check the engine serial number to be sure you get the correct part number.
