Archoil part number AR9100-16 is a diesel engine oil additive that improves the way the engine runs, starts, and performs.

Add AR9100 to every oil change to eliminate hard start and drivability issues caused by HEUI injector misfires in the 6.0l and 7.3l Power Strokes. AR9100 cleans out HEUI injector deposits and creates a friction-reducing film to ensure all eight injectors fire every time.

Symptoms of Stiction

Deposits and wear in HEUI injectors cause them to become stuck. This prevents the injectors from firing causing 6.0l and 7.3l Power Strokes to suffer from hard starting, rough idling, reduced power and response, bucking and smoking.

Problem Solved

Engine oil is exposed to very high temperatures and pressures within the Spool valve (‘poppet valve’ in 7.3l) of HEUI injectors. The oil degrades and forms deposits that cause excessive wear, creating static friction, or ‘stiction’, which can prevent the injector from firing.

A blend of esters combined with our additive package removes deposits and forms a friction-reducing solid boundary lubricating film on the bore of the ‘spool valve’. By removing deposits and reducing friction, AR9100 eliminates stiction issues.
