This is a complete replacement system for the factory fuel feed pump that was mounted next to the engine by the fuel filter.  If the truck has been retrofitted with an in-tank system, use the TSD07100G kit instead.

Fitment: 1998.5-2004 Dodge trucks with 5.9L Cummins diesel engines at stock up to 600 HP power levels.  This kit replaces the factory fuel lift pump and supplies the Bosch VP44 diesel injection pump with an improved and more reliable fuel supply.  Installation of this kit on a cab and chassis model may require modifications.

A FASS Fuel Systems feed pump and filter system is a beneficial upgrade for 5.9L Cummins diesel engines.  The factory Dodge lift pumps were unreliable and often failed.  The Titanium Signature Series diesel fuel System was engineered by FASS Fuel Systems to be the top performing, the longest lasting, and most reliable aftermarket fuel feed and filtration system in the diesel industry.  Rated at 100 gallons per hour and backed by a limited lifetime warranty when registered, the Titanium Signature Series System is capable of supporting a Cummins 5.9L diesel engine with enough fuel for stock to 600 HP power levels.  Plus, the filtration of the fuel is better than the factory filter.

A common problem with Dodge Cummins 24 valve diesel engines is the failure of its factory diesel fuel feed pump.  The factory pump is weak and unable to support more than stock horsepower.  Over time, the factory pump looses fuel pressure.  This can damage the VP44 injection pump, especially when the engine is under load.  This application is why FASS Diesel Fuel Systems got its start.

The FASS Titanium Signature Series pump offers advanced filtration benefits that will help protect the high-pressure Bosh diesel fuel injection system.    This drastically extends the life of the diesel injection pump and injectors.  These benefits include an improved filtration rating of 2 Microns, a built-in water separation filter, and the FASS Fuel Systems patented air/vapor removal process.  This system, used together with diesel fuel additives containing lubrication, greatly reduces the chance of injection system failures.

Installation Time = 3.5 hours.

• FASS Whisper Technology (FWT) was engineered to meet the stringent demands of  today’s quiet diesel engines.  FASS Whisper Technology was in development and testing for over two and a half years to meet FASS Fuel System’s high quality and durability standards.  FASS Whisper Technology effectively and drastically reduces the sound levels of the Signature Series FASS Diesel Fuel System to a “whisper” while at the same time increasing fuel flow rates.
• Performance Radius Cuts (PRC) are an advanced machining technique used to improve the flow of fuel through the FASS System by creating smooth flowing cuts within the aluminum housing.  This prevents the reintroduction of air and vapor back into the fuel, and prevents eddy currents from forming within the corner of a 90-degree sharp angle.
• Mass Flow Return (MFR) technology is used to continually polish your fuel by keeping a positive pressure on the fuel being delivered to the engine, preventing cavitation along with galling and scoring.  Additional fuel is returned to the fuel tank after it has been passed through the filtration process, removing dirt, air, vapor and water.  This results in the fuel being constantly “polished” (cleaned), guaranteeing that your diesel truck always has the cleanest fuel possible.
• Optional Heater Kits are available for any cold weather application from typical to extreme.
• Bolt On Bracket Mounts simplifies installation.  Mounting the Titanium Signature Series System takes only minutes and all brackets are made from machined steel for superior support and strength.

Horsepower is made by burning fuel.  To support high power numbers, an adequate fuel supply is required.  Here is a breakdown of gallons per hour needed for HP numbers:

• Stock to 600 HP = 100 GPH
• 600 to 900 HP = 165 GPH
• 900-1200 HP = 250 GPH
• 1200-1500 HP = 290 GPH

Using a higher gallon per hour pump than needed results in more fuel being returned to the tank and foaming can occur in the tank.  At 165 gallons per hour and above, a sump kit is needed to not restrict fuel to the pump and not have stalling issues below 1/4 full tank levels.
