1988-1994 Ford 7.3L IDI Indirect Injection Diesel Fuel Heater Disk

Ford part number F2TZ9J294A is the fuel heter disk in the fuel filter housing used on 1988-1994 Ford trucks with the IDI indirect injection 7.3L diesel engine.

This is the fuel heater plate that is located in the fuel filter housing.  This warms the diesel fuel and melts ice crystals when the temperature is below freezing.  This is an electrical element and they do burn out over time.
